What is Outlas?

Outlas is a curated guide to going out. We cover 2,499 venues across 200 cities in 59 countries — beach clubs, day clubs, nightclubs, rooftops, bars, lounges and restaurants — with photos, opening hours, music policy, dress code, price band and a direct route to booking on every one. It is built for the decision you actually make: not "where can I eat", but "where is the right night out here, tonight".

Is Outlas free, and do you charge a booking fee?

Outlas is free for guests. There is no booking fee, no membership, no card details taken, and no account required to browse or to book. When you book, you are booking with the venue — either on the venue's own reservation page or through our concierge, and neither adds a charge to what the venue would have quoted you directly.

How does booking a table or daybed work?

Every listing has a Book Now button, and it takes the shortest route to a real person. If the venue has its own reservation page, it goes there. If it doesn't, it goes to its what's-on or contact page. Failing that, it opens WhatsApp with the venue directly, and where the venue has no reachable number, with the Outlas concierge — who arranges it with the venue and comes back to you. You always end up talking to whoever can actually hold the table.

How do venues get on Outlas? Is this every venue in a city?

No, and deliberately not. Venues are added by hand and checked against the venue's own website, its social accounts and its Google listing before they go live — so a city page is a curated set, not a scrape of every licensed premises. That is the whole point: a list of 400 bars is not a decision, and a list of 20 is.

What is the Vibe Score by Outlas?

A 0–10 composite of how strong a venue's public signal is, not a critic's verdict. It weighs the Google rating (40%), review volume on a log scale so a huge count doesn't dominate (10%), how much recent video the venue has (25%), how many photos we hold (15%), and whether it has an active Instagram (10%). Venues with too little signal to score — no rating and no video — are left blank rather than given a made-up number.

Where do the star ratings come from?

The star rating and review count on a venue page are Google's, shown as Google's and labelled that way. We don't collect our own guest ratings, and we don't republish Google's numbers as if they were ours — that would be both dishonest and against every major search engine's structured-data rules. The Vibe Score is the only number that is ours, and it is presented separately.

How up to date is the information?

Photos, video and Google data refresh on a schedule; venue details like dress code, hours and music policy are checked when a venue is added and re-checked in periodic sweeps or when an operator updates their own listing. Nightlife moves fast, so treat hours and prices as a strong indication and confirm with the venue when it matters. Venues that close stay visible with a notice rather than vanishing, because a page that disappears is how you end up at a locked door.

Which destinations does Outlas cover?

200 cities in 59 countries, from Ibiza, Mykonos and Dubai to Ksamil, Budva and Batroun. Coverage is deepest where nightlife is a reason people travel. You can browse the whole catalogue on the map.

Can I browse by venue type?

Yes. Every city page has a "browse by type" strip that leads to a dedicated ranked page — the best beach clubs in Mykonos, the best rooftops in Dubai, and so on — for each type with enough venues to be worth a list of its own. Each of those pages carries the full set for that type, ranked, with the same detail as the main city page.

Is there an Outlas app?

Yes — Outlas is on both the App Store and Google Play, and the website works the same on any device. The app is the same catalogue with the phone conveniences: saved venues, quicker booking, and the map in your pocket while you're standing on the street deciding.

What happens to my saved venues and trips?

Bookmarks and saved trips live in your own browser, on your own device. They are not tied to an account, we don't hold them on a server, and we can't see them. The trade-off is that they don't follow you to a different device or survive clearing your browser data.

Can a venue pay for better placement?

Yes, and we'd rather say so plainly. Venues can subscribe to a partner plan and buy a placement boost, which lifts them to the front of city and country listings with a visible Partner badge — so you can always tell. It does not apply to your bookmarks, your saved trips, or your search results, and the moment you sort a list yourself, the boost stops applying. Paid placement never changes a venue's Google rating, its Vibe Score, or anything else written on its page.

I run a venue — how do I get listed or take over my page?

Head to the partner portal. You can register as the operator of a venue we already list, verify your email, and then edit your own details — hours, dress code, booking link, photos — through the dashboard, along with traffic figures for your page. If you're not listed yet, the same portal is where to ask. Being listed is free.

What is Outlas trying to build?

One trustworthy answer to "where should we go out" in every destination worth travelling to. Today that means the catalogue, the rankings and a booking route that always reaches a human. The direction is to keep the guide honest and independent — venues can pay for visibility, never for a better review — and to make the last mile shorter: from deciding to booked, in the same few minutes, anywhere in the world.
