Lounge and chill-house sets keep the volume at conversation level for most of the day, a soft pulse under the umbrellas rather than anything that demands you raise your voice. The doors open at 9am every day of the week from May through October and stay open until 11pm, which makes the place as workable for a slow morning on a lounger as for a drawn-out evening once the light goes off the gulf. The crowd skews towards couples and a well-turned-out set — a mix of Castellammare locals and visitors from across Western and Eastern Europe — and the polish of the setting rewards dressing with some care, even if you arrive in swimwear. Minimum age is 18. Come early in high summer if you want a good spot; by mid-afternoon the front row of the shorefront tends to be spoken for.
