Year-round operation is the point here: while much of the Boardwalk swings with the summer season, the doors at 500 Boardwalk open every Friday and Saturday at 11pm regardless of month, running through to 3am. Those two nights are the whole week — everything else is dark — so the room fills fast with a mix of locals and out-of-towners in the 25-45 range, dressed to a smart elegant standard that door staff take seriously. Trance and EDM carry the peak hours, with tech house and Latin sets widening the range as the night moves. Day beds, VIP booths and bottle service structure the floor, and the $$$$ band tells you most groups arrive with a table booked rather than chancing the general admission crush. Twenty-one to drink, and the socialite crowd tends to land well after midnight.
