Jazz, R&B and old-school hits are the backbone here, and live bands set the volume at a level where a table can still talk between numbers before the floor fills and conversation gives way to dancing. Doors open at 6pm Thursday through Saturday — those are the only three nights of the week — which makes dinner the natural entry point: fine dining plates with table service, private dining if you've booked a group, and bottle service in the VIP booths for those staying past the first set. Valet parking at the Hyatt Shopping Centre on Biermann Avenue takes the Rosebank parking problem off the table. Smart casual is enforced, the room skews 25 to 45 and largely local, and the $$ band keeps a full night out reasonable by Johannesburg standards. Everything wraps by midnight, so it rewards arriving early rather than drifting in late.
