About Rick's Cafe
Year-round is the operating rhythm here — the doors open at noon every day of the calendar, close at 3pm, then reopen at 6:30pm and run to half past midnight, so the room works as easily for a long lunch in January as for a Saturday dinner in July. The kitchen leans on seafood, and the soundtrack stays in the lounge and chill-house register early before jazz and live playing take over the evening. Table service is the default, with bottle service and a private dining option for groups who want the room to themselves. Expect couples, socialites and a well-travelled crowd of Western European and South American visitors; the guest list skews 30 and over, dress is smart casual, and the $$$ band is fair warning. Mondays are busy alongside the Friday-to-Sunday stretch. It sits on Boulevard Sour Jdid, on the edge of the Ancienne Medina.
