Doors open at 10am every day of the week and the day winds down at 8pm, stretching to 9pm on Saturdays and Sundays — which makes this a long, unhurried sit on the Hoek van Holland sand rather than a late one. Day beds and table service anchor the terrace, the kitchen keeps its range broad enough to cover a light lunch or a proper meal, and the soundtrack stays in lounge and chilled house territory throughout. Fridays and Saturdays draw the biggest crowd, a mix of Rotterdam locals, western European visitors and holidaymakers who have made the trip out to the coast. Beachwear is the dress code and prices sit in the mid range, so there is no ceremony to it. Over 18s only at the bar, and it runs year-round on Zeekant rather than closing for the winter.
