About Bitterzoet
Spuistraat 2, at the top end of the Centrum, puts the door within walking distance of most of the old centre — handy, given nothing starts here until 11:30pm and the night runs to 4am. Thursday through Saturday are the only nights it opens, and the programming swings widely across the week: hip hop and R&B, reggaeton and Afrobeats, Afrohouse, reggae, trance, and chiller lounge-house sets for the earlier hours. The crowd skews 25 to 45, mostly Amsterdam locals with a Western European contingent, and plenty of couples among them. Prices sit in the mid range, with bottle service and a VIP booth available for groups who want a base. Smart casual covers the door comfortably; drinking age is 18. It runs the same way year-round, and 1,500-odd Google reviews average 4.2.
