Parikia's bay puts this within easy reach of the port and town, which means a day here can start straight off the ferry and run until the doors close at 10pm. Doors open at 10:30am daily through the May to October season, and the shape of the day is a familiar one: a day bed, deep house and lounge sets kept at conversational volume, table or bottle service, shisha if you want it, and Greek and Mediterranean plates that hold up as a proper lunch. Beachwear is the dress code from open to close, and the $$ band keeps things reasonable for a full afternoon. Fridays and Saturdays draw the biggest crowd — largely tourists, Western European visitors and a share of locals, skewing young, with 18 the minimum drinking age.
