About Elephant Beach Club

The crowd skews holidaymakers in their late twenties to mid-forties, largely Western European, drifting in off Chaweng's beach in swimwear and staying put — which is the whole idea of a place that opens at 8am and doesn't call last orders until 1am, or 2am on Saturdays. Day beds and table service anchor the sand, shisha comes to the lounge, and the kitchen runs a French and Thai menu that reads as comfortably as the $$ price band suggests. Music stays in deep house and chilled lounge territory rather than pushing into club volume, so conversation survives the evening. Fridays through Sundays are the busiest stretch, when the beds go early and the terrace fills for sunset. Beachwear is fine throughout; the drinking age is 20. Open year round, with a 4.6 rating across more than two thousand reviews to show the formula holds.
