Chaweng is where Koh Samui goes out after dinner, and the doors here open at 9pm every night of the week, seven nights a year-round — useful on an island where plenty of places keep to the season. The room fills late and runs to 2am, with hip hop and R&B through the early hours and Afrobeats and Afrohouse pushing the floor when it's busy. Thursday through Saturday are the nights that draw a proper crowd, a mix of young professionals, Western European visitors and Asian travellers, and that's when the VIP booths and bottle service earn their keep; shisha keeps the tables occupied between dances. Smart casual is enough to get in, and the $$ pricing means a table doesn't demand the sort of spend the bigger island venues ask for. Entry skews 25–45, with 20 the minimum for drinking.
