Bangkok doesn't really have an off-season, and neither does the sixth floor of the Aloft on Sukhumvit 11 — the doors open at 10pm every night of the week, year-round, and close at 3am. Thursday through Saturday are when the room fills properly, with house, EDM and commercial hits pushing a crowd that skews toward the mid-twenties-to-forties bracket the door works to: socialites, couples and the occasional familiar face, largely local and regional rather than backpacker traffic despite the address. Bottle service and VIP booths are the way to hold ground once the floor tightens, and the $$$$ band reflects that. Smart elegant is enforced rather than suggested, so leave the shorts and sandals at the hotel. Twenty is the legal drinking minimum, though the room reads considerably older.
