From May through October the Xatt ta' Qui-si-Sana stretch of Sliema seafront is where this one plays out, a long unhurried arc from a midday swim to a late-afternoon drink as the lounge and chilled house sets tick over in the background. The kitchen runs Japanese and Mediterranean in parallel, so a sushi plate and something grilled can share a table without either feeling out of place, and daybeds come with table service — bottles included if the afternoon takes that turn. Friday through Sunday brings the fullest crowd, mostly tourists and Western European visitors in the 25-45 range, though the mood stays easy rather than pushy. Beachwear is the dress code and prices sit mid-range, which makes it an easy default for a whole day rather than a booked occasion. Drinking age is 18.
