Chora, the whitewashed hill town at the centre of Ios, packs its nightlife into a few walkable lanes, and a night here tends to fold into whatever else the square is doing — which is why arrivals stay steady until very late on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The music moves across hip hop and 90s throwbacks into deep house and techno as the room fills, with chill house filling the earlier, looser stretch of the evening. Bottle service and VIP booths are there for groups who want a base, though the $$ pricing keeps this well short of a splurge. The crowd skews mid-twenties to mid-forties — young professionals, a mix of Western European and Australian visitors alongside locals who stayed on — and smart casual is enough to get through the door. It stays open year-round, which is not a given on this island.
