Doors open at noon every day and stay open until half past midnight, Sunday closing an hour earlier, which makes it as workable for a long lunch on Mount Street as for a late table with live music behind it. Thursday through Saturday is when the room fills — couples, socialites and a well-travelled crowd drawn from the UK, the Middle East and further afield, most of them in the 25 to 45 bracket. Smart elegant is enforced rather than suggested, and the $$$$ band is honest. Brunch and private dining are both available; booking ahead for weekends is the sensible move.
