About Cafe Del Mar
Doors open at noon Wednesday through Saturday, and the shape of a visit depends entirely on which day you pick: midweek it winds down at 10pm, so lunch stretches into a long afternoon of Spanish and Mediterranean plates, while Friday and Saturday run through to midnight and the deep house builds accordingly. Saturday is the busy one, when the Wheat Road address fills with young professionals and visitors working through cocktails at the table, and booths and bottle service handle the groups who plan ahead. Private dining is available for anything more structured. Smart casual is enforced, the $$$ band puts it above a casual harbourside drink, and the room skews to a 25–45 crowd with plenty of Western European and UK accents in the mix alongside locals. The November-to-March stretch is when it makes most sense — warm evenings, chilled house, and the CBD a short walk behind you.
