About Da Luigi

Seafood is the whole argument here — plates built around what comes out of the water, served at table on the rocks at Via dei Faraglioni with the same unhurried pacing whether you arrive at one or four. The format runs day club as much as restaurant: day beds to book, table service across the loungers, bottles if the afternoon extends, and lounge and chill house kept low enough to talk over. Friday through Sunday is when the socialite crowd and the visitors arrive together, mostly Western European, mostly in the 25-to-45 range, and the season is a firm May to October. Beach chic is the standard, which in practice means good linen over a swimsuit rather than anything formal. Prices sit at the top band, so treat a long lunch here as the day's main expense and plan the rest of Capri around it.
