The crowd skews 25 to 45 — out-of-town visitors and socialites mixed with Las Vegas locals who know exactly which Friday to turn up — and the energy runs high from the moment the pool fills. Music moves across the day, chilled house early on, tech house and deep house through the afternoon, EDM and commercial hits when the champagne showers start. Daybeds are the currency here: the $$$$ band and bottle-service model mean groups book ahead, and Friday through Sunday is when the Encore complex at 3131 Las Vegas Boulevard South is at its loudest. Food covers a range of options rather than a fixed menu, designed for eating between swims. Beach chic is the standard, which in practice means swimwear with something considered over it. Doors are 21-plus, and unlike seasonal pool clubs elsewhere, this one runs year-round.
