About Hemmesphere
A 3.7 from 176 Google reviews reads as a room that divides people, and the reason is plain enough: at $$$$ with a formal dress code, 4/252 George Street asks something of you before you've ordered. What you get in return is a small, low-lit lounge with Japanese plates, VIP booths and bottle service, private dining for groups who'd rather not be overheard, and lounge, chill house and R&B running under live music. The crowd skews 25 to 45 and local — corporate professionals decompressing from the CBD early in the week, a more dressed-up social set later. Doors open at 4pm Tuesday to Friday, 6pm on Saturday, with Thursday, Friday and Saturday running to 2am and the other nights winding up at midnight. Closed Sunday and Monday, and worth booking a booth if you're arriving after ten.
