About La Oculta
Drinks arrive by the bottle here — the bar works on a table-and-booth model, with VIP seating held for groups who commit to a bottle rather than queue at the counter, and the $$$$ band reflects it. Music runs crossover in the Medellín sense: reggaeton at the centre, with Latin, reggae, old school hits and stretches of trance filling the gaps. Doors open at 9:30pm every night of the week and the room runs to 4am, though Thursday through Saturday is when the Provenza crowd — socialites, the occasional recognisable face, largely South American — actually fills it, usually well after midnight. Dress smart elegant; the door is selective and the room skews 25 to 45, so trainers and shorts are a gamble not worth taking. It trades year-round, which in this part of El Poblado means there is no off-season to plan around.
