About Rado Plage
Boulevard de la Croisette puts this stretch of sand within walking distance of the hotels and boutiques that define Cannes in season, which means the daybed you book at 10am is as much a place to be seen as a place to swim. The kitchen works in Mediterranean register, served at the table through a long lunch that stretches into the afternoon, with bottle service and valet parking rounding out the $$$$ arithmetic. Deep house and lounge sets stay at conversational volume — this is a club for lingering rather than dancing. Fridays through Sundays draw the heaviest mix of locals and Western European visitors, mostly in the 25-45 bracket, and Saturdays run an hour later, to 6pm. Beachwear is the standard, which in Cannes still means something considered. The season runs April to October, and booking ahead over summer weekends is sensible.
