About Smoke Bar
Barangaroo Avenue puts you on the waterfront edge of the city, and a Level 2 perch here means the harbour does much of the work from three in the afternoon onward, when doors open. The kitchen leans Japanese and the drinks list carries the $$$ weight you'd expect from a precinct like this, with table service, bottle service and booths for groups who want to hold their spot rather than jostle at the rail. Music stays in the lounge and deep house register — background for conversation, not a dancefloor — and the room fills with young professionals, locals and visitors in roughly equal measure, tipping busiest on Saturdays through the November to March stretch. Smart casual covers it. Wednesday through Saturday runs to midnight, Sunday to 11pm, and Monday is dark.
