Through the long dark winters and the short bright summers alike, the doors on Birger Jarlsgatan 20 open at 11pm and stay open until 5am — a year-round fixture on Östermalm's main artery rather than a seasonal one. Thursday through Saturday are the only nights it trades, and all three run at full tilt, with trance, tech house and commercial hits spread across the rooms so the crowd can drift between sounds. Bottle service and VIP booths anchor the floor, and the $$$$ band tells you how the good tables are held. The room skews 25 to 45 — Stockholm socialites and young professionals mixed with Western European visitors — and the door is selective, so smart elegant is the working minimum rather than a suggestion. Arrive dressed, arrive early enough to clear the queue, and expect the night to run properly late.
