About St. Andrea Wine
Drinks lead here, brought to the table rather than fetched from a bar, with a kitchen that ranges widely enough to keep a long sit-down going — small plates and larger dishes alike, priced in the mid band rather than the rooftop premium you might brace for. The Váci1 Building on Deák Ferenc utca puts you at the edge of District V, a few minutes' walk from most of the central sights, which explains a crowd that mixes Budapest locals with visitors from either side of Europe, mostly in the twenty-five to forty-five range. Music stays in the deep and tech house register, warm and unobtrusive, more suited to conversation than dancing. Doors open at 3pm daily and close at midnight, with the terraces at their fullest Thursday through Saturday and the main season running May to September. Smart casual is expected; a shirt and decent shoes will do.
