About Halo Club
Trance and techno carry most of the night here, with Afrohouse and EDM breaking up the run, and it is all pitched loud enough that the floor stays the focus rather than the conversation. Doors open at 10:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays only, and the room doesn't properly fill until well after that, running through to 5am on Große Freiheit in St. Pauli — a street that needs no introduction to anyone who lives in the city. Bottle service and VIP booths are there for groups who want a base, though the $$ pricing keeps it accessible, and the crowd skews to young professionals in the 25–45 bracket, largely locals with a scattering of other Western Europeans. Smart casual is enforced at the door, so leave the trainers and sportswear at home. Closed Sunday through Thursday, open the same two nights all year.
