About StrandPauli
Daybeds line the sand on Hafenstraße, claimed early on Saturdays when the doors open at 10am and held through the afternoon with table service running drinks and pizza out to them. The season is short — May to September — and the shape of a week reflects it: closed Mondays and Tuesdays, a 4pm start midweek, then Friday and Saturday stretching to midnight when the crowd thickens and deep house, tech house and Latin sets take over from the daytime lull. Beachwear is the dress code in the most literal sense, and at $$ it stays accessible enough to draw a young, mostly 18-to-25 mix of St. Pauli locals, other Western Europeans and a steady tourist contingent working their way along the waterfront. Sundays wind down earlier, closing at 9pm, which makes them the calmer option if the weekend nights sound like too much.
