About Lux Frágil
Down on the Avenida Infante D. Henrique in Santa Apolónia, tucked into a converted warehouse on the Cais da Pedra, this sits on the working riverfront edge of the city — far enough from the tourist core that arriving is a deliberate act, and close enough to the station that a late cab home is simple. Doors open around 11pm Thursday through Saturday, but the rooms only make sense after midnight, when the schedule runs through to 6am and the music moves between techno, tech house, trance and chilled lounge stretches, with hip hop turning up as the night wears on. Sunday is the peak here, an unusual rhythm that pulls in a mixed international crowd, plenty of South American regulars and visitors alongside them, mostly in the 25-45 range. Smart casual, moderately priced, open year-round.
