Lounge and chill house sets run low and unhurried here, kept at a volume that lets a table of four talk across it — the room is intimate, and the music is furniture rather than event. On the 31st floor of the Kamiyacho Trust Tower in Toranomon, it opens Wednesday to Sunday for a midday to 4pm service and again from 5:30 to 11pm, closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Fine dining, table service throughout, valet at the door and private dining for groups that want a wall around the conversation; the price band is the top one, and the dress code is formal, so plan the outfit before you plan the taxi. Friday and Saturday evenings draw couples, visitors and Tokyo's corporate set in roughly equal measure, and the door works to a 30-plus policy. Book ahead for those two nights — earlier weekday sittings are the calmer proposition.
