Venue Brief

Plaça Reial cellar room running live jazz sets nightly, then flipping to a late dance floor. The city's oldest working jazz club, still genuinely small, still worth booking ahead.

About Jamboree

Plaça Reial, the arcaded square at the heart of the Gothic Quarter, puts this one a few steps from half of Barcelona's late-night foot traffic, which explains a room that fills with visitors and a strong South American contingent most nights of the week. The jazz comes first, then the floor turns over to hip hop, R&B and reggaeton, with lounge and chill house filling the gaps — a small space, so the shift from seated listening to dancing happens quickly. Bottle service and a VIP booth are available if you want a base, though the $$ band keeps a normal night affordable. Thursday through Saturday are the busiest; smart casual is enough, the crowd skews 25 to 45, drinking age is 18, and it runs year-round. Time Out has named it among the city's best clubs.
