Lounge and chill house set the register here, deep house creeping in as the afternoon stretches — music kept at a level you can talk over from a daybed, never the kind that turns a pool deck into a dance floor. Daybeds, bottle service and table service are the spine of the operation, with valet parking at the end of Passeig de Joan de Borbó, and the $$$$ band tells you what a reserved bed and a bottle will run. Food covers broad international ground rather than a single kitchen identity, designed to be eaten in swimwear. Friday through Sunday brings the fullest deck, a mix of socialites, visiting celebrities and Western European and South American guests, mostly in the 25–45 range. Beach chic is the standard — swimwear works, but the cover-up matters. It runs year-round, and the Barceloneta sea light does most of the work.
