About Loulou
The daybeds fill with a mostly Western European set in their late twenties to forties — socialites, holidaymakers off the boats, the occasional recognisable face — and the mix holds steady from May through October. Doors open at 12:30PM and close at 7PM every day, which makes the whole thing a lunch-and-afternoon affair on Pampelonne: Italian and Mediterranean plates, seafood, table service on the sand and bottle service for those settling in for the duration. Lounge and chill house runs underneath rather than over the top, so conversation survives. Friday through Sunday are the busiest stretches, when the beach road backs up and the better loungers go early — book ahead if you want one. Beach chic covers it, though at this price band the linen tends to be pressed. Expect to spend accordingly; this is among the costlier stretches of the Ramatuelle shoreline.
